At the start of the year Walgreens and Express Script were not able to come up with a settlement with regards to Walgreens’ intentions to renew their contract with the latter. Because of that many customers who are under the Express Scripts network are affected. With this very sad news many customers are forced to purchase in pharmacies where they can still enjoy their benefit since that is not possible anymore At Walgreens and in Duane Reads pharmacies in New York. It is because of this reason why the leading pharmacy has decided to come up with Walgreens Prescription Savings Club . Their goal is to give those customers who still wants to avail almost the same benefits and are already used and more comfortable all their pharmaceutical needs at Walgreens to receive discounts on more than 8000 brand name and generic medicines. They are offering a promo for the month of January wherein the membership fee for an individual is only at $5 while for family membership you only have to pay $10. Many of Walgreens avid patrons are happy to hear about this amazing news. Although not  everybody is affected with what has transpired between Walgreens and Express Scripts. The ones who are affected are those who are the Express Scripts network.

Had the scare of my life. I am on my 28th weeks of pregnancy and my latest ultrasound showed that my baby is on breech presentation. Had my ultrasound last Friday. I am a little bit worried because my budget will only allow to go on normal delivery meaning if I am going to have it on C-section I have to find 30 to 40 thousand more, at the moment I do not know where to get that.

But I checked again this morning since its really making me very,very anxious and found out that he has changed position and is now on cephalic presentation. He is one heck of a baby, almost giving mommy a heart attack. Good thing he switched and is now on the desirable position. Love you still baby.

I am on my 22nd week of pregnancy and the last time I saw my obstetrician she told me to go through Oral Glucose Tolerance Test or OGTT for short. It is a kind of laboratory test where in which the patient will take in a certain amount of glucose then blood sample will be extracted to determine how fast the sugar or glucose component remains.

There are various amounts of glucose to be taken. Some are required to take 75 g while others 100g, I was required to take 100 g. I was told to fast for 6 to 8 hours. Had to go to the laboratory very early in the morning so that the procedure will be over early as well. They drew blood first before they asked me to drink the 100g of glucose in juice form. After ingesting the whole thing I waited again for an hour then they drew blood once again. Then I waited two consecutive hours again for another two blood extraction. The first two extractions went fine but the ones after them were a total nightmare.

They were only suppose to extract four times but they had to do it five times and had to go around my veins trying to hit it. I was about to cry when it happened the second time. I was really weak due to hunger it was almost 11 am and the procedure started at 7 in the morning. But I was just glad the whole thing was over and now I have my results which said that everything is okay.  It is such a relief. I would never want to go through that ever again.

Well talking is one thing my mom loves the most. How I wish I got that from her because I am one very timid person. Its fun and easy. But before you do so make sure to consult your OB-Gyn first if its safe for you or not.
